RULES OF RIO BRAVO ROD & GUN CLUB

1. All Club members will be issued one (1) badge and one key for the locks at the range. Any member that is at the range is responsible his/her guests at the range at that time. The badge must be worn at all times while on the premises.

2. IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY will be allowed with the card-holding member. The club member must accompany his/her family when they are on the range, at all times. Only one family member allowed on the shooting range with the member at one time. other family members can use the other parts of the property or wait in the pavilion area.

3. Before entering or exiting the range all weapons MUST be unloaded with the breach/bolt/cylinder open.

4. Safety glasses or eye protection must be worn while shooting or in the archery range. Ear protection must be worn at all times.

5. No Alcohol beverages are allowed. There is ZERO tolerance of alcoholic beverages. No one under the influence of alcohol will be allowed on the ranges.

6. No minors (under the age of 18 on the rifle range & or under 21 on the handgun range) without adult supervision. All minors must be STRICTLY supervised at all times. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR GUESTS OR CHILDREN.

7. No shooting will be allowed outside of the shed. 

​

8. No fully automatic weapons are allowed on the range. No rapid fire, you must wait 1 second before follow up shots.

​

9. No person may handle firearms while another person goes beyond the firing line. When anyone is beyond the firing line, all rifles must be in racks with bolts open and pointed downrange.  Everyone must step at least 5 feet from the benches/firing line, while others are changing targets.

10. Careless, negligent, or promiscuous shooting is forbidden.

​

11. Cooperative, courteous, and responsible conduct will be observed at all times.

​

12. The range should be kept clean at all times. Remove your targets and trash when you are finished shooting. If you move or take down target stands or rails, put them back when you are finished shooting.

13. Organized club-sponsored activities take precedence over all other shooting activities.

​

14. Any RIO BRAVO ROD & GUN CLUB member has the authority to expel anyone from the range who is observed violating any of the range rules. Any club member observing range rule violations may bring issues to any Club Manager. The violation(s) will be taken to the Executive Members.

15. No cans, bottles, boxes, rocks or other objects will be used as targets. No hunting is allowed without permission from Management.
